
CRG project Prado tune and parts development car
To create a product line, you really need to own the vehicle. Our 250 Prado is getting poked and prodded from all angles.
So far the Prado has:
✅Remapped on the dyno making fantastic gains. The latest iteration of the 1GD 2.8 litre engine really respond well to a good tune. One tuned the Prado makes a solid 37% more Power 31% more Torque. Putting peak power over 200hp with more development still going on in the back ground. Focusing the tuning remap using the factory drive modes (NORMAL, ECO, SPORT) drivability for every day use, off roading and towing, making sure it is capable of towing the camper trailer or caravan to take the family places you want to go and not worrying about glorifying peak power for a dyno battle or valet and idle up modes.

✅Custom 4 inch DPF back exhaust.
Hand made in house, 304 grade stainless with ulti mandrel bends, V-bands joiners and all Tig welded by our fabricators here on the Gold coast.
Made to sit really high with plenty of rear axle clearance for upward travel and as much Clarence around the spare tyre as possible.
With the DPF in place and completely un touched the exhaust is absolutely no louder than standard, no increase in noise when doing a DPF regeneration, a muffler can not make it any quieter.
Pricing we would expect to be around $1850 from the DPF back.
✅King Adjustable Remote Reservoir Shocks all round with 2" lift King Springs.
Raising the Prado 45mm and massively improving the composure and body control
The ride quality is leagues better than standard. Almost too good. On and off roads is just a different animal to factory.
After initial install the rear shocks also went back to King Shocks Australia to be customised to maximise down travel for extended reach adding around another 50mm of down travel.

✅Harrop rear E-Locker - Non altitude model no rear locker standard. We went with the Harrop for the simple press of the button to lock the rear E-locker diff
✅17 inch Icon Recon Pro Wheels with stealth Internal bead lock design. With Nitto Ridge Grappler 35 inch tyres.
✅Blacked out roof and mirrors with Vinyl.
✅Ironman Raid Roof Rack - With light bar - But have now removed light bar to mitigate wind noise.
What else is coming? We have some under body protection skid plates in the works to protect the low hanging factory shock mounts and rear arm mounting points, on going development on the dyno for even further improved tuning and some other stuff we cant mention :-)
