The 2.8l Duramax engine in the Holden Colorado RG Duramax has a common issue of the factory rubbery plastic intercooler pipe seal separating from the throttle body.
The factory S type seal that connects the factory intercooler pipe to the throttle body pipe softens with age and oil absorption. Once it has softened it is all but impossible to get it to hold the pipe in place and will constantly pop off.
Our CNC machined fitting with dual Flurocarbon Viton O rings come pre lubed with Silicone grease and fit snug onto the throttle body housing using the bolts supplied to ensure it can never pop off again.
The factory intercooler pipe can then be clamped on to our aluminium pipe with the bead rolled inlet end on our throttle pipe.
When installing we recommend using a very fine sand paper or emery cloth to ensure the end of the factory Holden throttle body is not sharp on the end that could damage the O rings seals inside our throttle pipe
