We would not recommend using this without adding an optional muffler as the turbo whistle will be very loud.
Volume levels:
-Pipe only is max sound. High pitch whistle, deep note and overall quite loud. Can definitely be heard at quite a distance. Likely to have some in cabin boise and drone.
--Resonator is a very small body muffler, doesn't make much of a difference at all to overall volume but does reduce the whistle around 20%.
---Oval sports muffler reduces overall volume by 20-30% and reduces the whistle alot. Yes does still have a whistle and has a throaty growl to it under full throttle but little to no in car drone cruising on the highway etc.Available upon request - We do have an option for a round medium body muffler option. Not as loud as resonator, not as "quiet" as oval muffler. Same price as oval muffler. Contact us prior to ordering if you want the round muffler option.
No tune required.
Recommended: OBD scan tool to reset the DPF soot gram count to 0.
(Please note images show the optional muffler / resonator – body type may vary from the images shown. Images are for illustration purposes only)
NOT LEGAL FOR ROAD USE
OFF ROAD / RACE USE ONLYDISCLAIMER NOTE TO AUSTRALIAN VEHICLE OWNERS:
Vehicle owners need to be aware that you must not use a vehicle on any road or roads related area in Australia if any anti pollution device has been removed unless the vehicle is being used in motor racing or off road motor sports.
Please check your local country, state and territories emissions / road law and regulations regarding exhaust exiting / position & anti pollutions laws.
It is recommended to use a scan tool to reset the DPF value soot count. The reason for this is if the dpf being removed was about to do a regen or if the value is fairly high it will still need to do regen. Resetting the soot tells the ecu that its a new DPF but the new one of course will not record any more soot build up and matching eh flow of a new dpf it will not fault.
